Day 1: Luxor
Arrival into Luxor, welcome at the airport and private transfer to your hotel. Night at the hotel.
Day 2: Luxor
Breakfast at the hotel. Crossing the Nile to the west bank, where the sun sets (the City of the Deads). Visit of the Valley of the Kings and Deir ElMédine. Followed by the discovery of the impressive burial temple of Ramses III in Medinet Habou. Sailing along the Colossi of Memnon. Lunch on board of the Isadora. Sailing. Visit Luxor temple at sunset and tour the City of Luxor. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3: Luxor / Esna
Breakfast on board. Visit the temple of Karnak. This temple was dedicated to the god Amon and like many Egyptian temples; other gods and goddesses were venerated there. It is the oldest religious site in the world. Boarding and sailing all day long admiring the magnificent landscapes of the sacred Nile, while discovering the daily life of peasants living along the river. Lunch, dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4: Esna / El-Hagz
Breakfast on board. Pass through the Esna lock, visit the temple of god Khnum. Lunch on board. Sailing to El Kab, the ancient city of Nekheb. We can see the city, mainly the walls of King Nectanebo. The city hosted the families of the princes of the city in the Middle Empire and also from the 18th dynasty to the New Empire. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 5: Edfu / Wadi el Chatte
Breakfast on board. Departure for the visit of the temple of Edfu in the holy city of Horus. The zee please was built in his honor. With its extravagant dimensions, it is the best preserved in all Egypt. Sailing to Wadi el Chatte. Lunch on board. In the afternoon, walk to discover a valley with prehistoric drawings and a small village to finally reaching a stone quarry where you can watch the sunset. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 6: Gebel el-Silsila
Breakfast on board. Departure for the visit of Gebel el-Silsila (the mountain of the chain). Thousands of workers worked there, from the pharaohs of the XVIII dynasty until 200 AD. Visit the temple of Horemheb, with the stelae-chapels that dedicate the offerings to the river. Lunch on board. Sailing. Possibility of a stroll in the palm groves. Dinner and overnight on board
Day 7: Kom Ombo / Aswan
Breakfast on board. Departure for the visit of the temple of Kom Ombo, which unusually is dedicated to two divinities: Sobek (with crocodile's head) and Horus (with falcon's head). Lunch on board. Visit the city of Daraw where the camel market is held. Sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
Day 8: Aswan
Breakfast on board. End of the cruise on the dahabiyah. Visit the temple of Philae (the pearl of Egypt) dedicated to the worship of the goddess Isis, then visit the High dam the beginning of Lake Nasser. Transfer by private vehicle to the international airport for your return flight.
